Fitting

How fitting reaches Takoradi

Book ahead

We fit in the Western Region by appointment. The installer travels from Accra, so tell us the number of trucks and where they are based, and we fix a date.

Fitted at your yard

Trucks are fitted where they park between runs, so a haulage job is not lost to a trip to Accra.

Engine cut-off on our trackers

If a truck or tanker does not come back, cut its starter remotely: it will not start again once it is next switched off, and the map shows where it is.

The fleets here

Why fleets in Takoradi track their vehicles

Takoradi's port is a bulk port. From January to November 2024 it exported about 6.47 million tonnes of cargo, most of it manganese and bauxite brought in by road from the mines inland, according to the Ghana News Agency.

That traffic is hard on vehicles and on roads. In February 2026 the Deputy Roads Minister blamed overloaded bauxite and manganese trucks bound for Takoradi Harbour for the early failure of the rebuilt Tarkwa to Agona-Nkwanta road. Owners of those trucks want to see every run: when it left, where it stopped and how it was driven.

Fuel moves on the same roads, and a tanker fire on the Tarkwa to Bogoso highway in 2023 halted traffic for about an hour. Closer to the city, the Cape Coast to Takoradi stretch of the N1 is being widened, with work started in October 2025.
